May the Lamb that was slain receive the reward of His suffering!
As a believer steps into this higher level of relationship with God there may be less people to have communion with because God is filling a widening gap. That gap is made because people nurtured the spiritual growth of the believer until the believer matured spiritually. The believer may have been dependent on other people for their spiritual growth but come into a place where they are more mature spiritually. If the believer would have continued into a place where they only relied upon a person to feed them spiritually, the believer would have been possibly slowed in growth or far worse, become stagnant. Jesus said “follow Me” and Paul said “follow Me as I follow Christ.” We should learn from other brothers and sisters in Christ that speak by the Holy Ghost, but in addition to that we must use the Godly discernment that has been given to us through the Holy Spirit. The reason why God gave us discernment by the Holy Ghost is to be able to distinguish truth and lie and God will only have you with people who speak the truth by the Holy Ghost. When believers are in real relationship with God they do not need anybody to fill what only God can. God is the only friend anyone will ever need (“He sticks closer than a brother”,” He will never leave you nor forsake you.”) In this place of relationship with God it does not matter what people say, think, or do…All that matters is Jesus. Not many people live this way but everyone should. To be in this place one has to fill themselves with God’s word and spend intimate time with God in prayer, worship and communion. This place of relationship where He asks anything of you and you do it, is a wonderful covenant that is only available to those who are willing to lay down their life for Him (“take up your cross and follow Me.” ) Come choose today to give Him your life and be brought back to what Adam lost…relationship.
