Narrow is the way – by Tanner age 18

If a believer decides to really live for the Lord and seek to know God with all they are, they will soon find that it is a lonely road. As sad as it is, there are few who truly live a holy life devoted to the King. As a believer draws closer and closer to the Lord a lot of the people that they used to associate with aren’t nearly as drawn to hang around them. People that want to stay the same will be left behind while the believer who is growing will continue in an upward acceleration. The others who want to stay the same don’t find the same thing they related to before within the believer. Sadly, this is mostly true in other Christians. As you excel in your relationship with the Lord, other static and lukewarm Christians will be convicted and most likely repelled. Before the Holy Spirit was released to live in men, men were bound to the flesh. When Jesus was taken to be crucified and when the will of God was being fulfilled in Jesus, the disciples fled (Matthew 26:56). In this same manner as the will of God is fulfilled in the life of a believer, people that were previously involved in their life that are in the flesh will leave and no longer be of any support. The only people who will stick around and benefit your life are the ones who seek to know God just like you. Anyone who decides to seek the Lord with all they are, must decide what they want more…the approval of men or the approval of God. You cannot have both. Man’s approval (including self approval) is the way the majority of men live today. It is the broad way, the way that seems right unto a man that leads to destruction. God’s approval is the narrow way that leads to life and few there be that find it. We have to decide if we want God’s perfect will or if we want to live according to what we want. Many live according to what they want, few live according to God’s perfect will. Those few who live according to God’s perfect will, they are His holy bride. So, choose today, men or God.

Matthew 7:13-14 (KJV)

13 Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat: 14 Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it.

Proverbs 14:12 (KJV)

12 There is a way which seemeth right unto a man, but the end thereof are the ways of death.

Proverbs 16:25 (KJV)

25 There is a way that seemeth right unto a man, but the end thereof are the ways of death.

John 15:20 (KJV)

20 Remember the word that I said unto you, The servant is not greater than his lord. If they have persecuted me, they will also persecute you; if they have kept my saying, they will keep yours also.
