May the Lamb that was slain receive the reward of His suffering!
God has told us to be holy, separate, sanctified… pure. Whenever the Lord gives a commandment He does not leave us with our own strength and understanding. He also, with this commandment and any other that He speaks forth, gives us a means or provision to do everything He has called us to do. This provision is called grace which came through Jesus Christ. “For by grace are ye saved through faith…”(Ephesians 2:8GNV) Faith is the door by which we enter into the realm of grace. According to Webster dictionary, Grace is a state of sanctification enjoyed through divine assistance. This realm of grace is where God empowers His believers to walk in His holiness and this is only possible through faith. In human ability aside from God’s grace, you can never do enough to please Him and you can never fully fulfill His commandments in your own strength through striving, technique and analytical strategies. The bible says, “ But we are all as an unclean thing, and all our righteousnesses are as filthy rags”(Isaiah 64:6KJV) It is only by the supernatural strength of God that we are able to be everything that He us created be. In the heart of every believer is a desire to please the Lord and this is only accomplished by faith because “…without faith it is impossible to please Him…” (Hebrews 11:6GNV) Despite what people may say it is possible to do what God asks and it is possible to do this all the time. God has a way for us to walk (by faith) set before us where we don’t do things in our own strength but take on the power and ability of God through the Holy Spirit to obey His commands and walk as Jesus walked. There is another command that is also possible through God which has been refuted by the church which is from the lips of our precious Lord Jesus which is to be perfect as the Father is perfect.(“Ye shall therefore be perfect, as your Father which is in heaven is perfect.”Matthew 5:48GNV)
